This (legendary) hostel has been created in
December 2008 by David, french citizen freshly arrived from Moscow. At
the beginning a very simple "Wii Lounge", video games shop, became first
Haadrin's hostel, THE "Dancing Elephant".
28th December 2008, to help
backpackers in trouble, David proposed them to sleep on simple rollable mattress
and promised to keep there personal effect safe.
- 7 boys and girls,
for 6 nights, was the real beginning, the revelation for David.

- 3rd February 2009, we
welcomed our first guests, 6 travelers, to be precise. The outdoor sign was
simply indicated "dormitory, available bed".
The artist paid it, in a not very reassured hand, the day before, it
was still wet!

The dorm was almost the same as today.
We started with the giant bamboo bed, specially build to welcome 10 travelers.
Between the wall and the giant bamboo bed was 4 hammocks for small budgets. It
was very funny to come back at night and has to climb and pass all the
hammocks...
In the stairs, was a double bed and a single
bunked together, strange view.
The first year we jumped a large gap. In the
village "Dancing Elephant' was the first successful hostel, and
managed the street by collaborating with all the Thai families. Without them
Dancing should never become this paquebot hostel.

When David meet Nanda at the end
of 2009, "Dancing Elephant' changed a new time to a new trajectory,
the one of Love and happiness.
Nanda and Me enjoyed
so much to be with You, sharing you days and your nights, your laughs and your
cries, your smiles, your Energy! Our best souvenirs in Thailand come from our
hostel, you love each other, you party together, live and sleep in a beautiful
harmony. We love YOU!
"Dancing Elephant" is
mixing the nationalities, the experiences, the ethnics, the languages...
We all go stronger out of Dancing.

"Dancing Elephant" is
a young hostel, and all our guests enjoy the originality of our concept, as
the way we mix differences.
In September 2010, we acquired "Tao of
Love" hostel, named in honor of our son. This is a 19 beds dorm, with
2 showers and one toilet. You love the flat screen and the sound system at the
ground floor.
"Nanda's hostel" and
restaurant, arrived later, around November for the dorm, but the full concept
with the restaurant came in May 2011. The 19 beds room have been renovated in
April 2012. Two showers and one toilet are available. The deposit boxes, to
secure your valuables, are under CCTV and human surveillance. Access 24/7
during the full moon week.
With 41 pillows available "The
Headquarters" hostel, "HQ" for the intimates, is a
cool place where all the walk-in visitors want to stay, you have your personal
electrical plug, a shelf for you notebook and an original light, which will
make your life more colorful and happy!
At "Dancing Elephant", the
first floor in ordinary time is the TV room, with a satellite connection,
always connected to watch your home news or your favorite team winning the game!
We can watch a movie or organize a crazy Guitar Hero contest! It’s also the place where we start the WARM UP party, just in front of HQ BAR.....
